Case Study: The Disappearing Node

by in Case Studies October 30, 2020

A female student in her 50s came to my continuing education class with a nodule in her armpit. The doctors had told her that they were just going to watch it, and since it was probably going to turn cancerous they would deal with it when that happened. At one point, they thought it was a cyst, but it didn’t look like a cyst. It  wasn’t a lymph node, it was nothing they could readily diagnose. She had been dealing with it for about 5 or 7 years by this point, and everytime she went to the doctor she said it felt like the clock was ticking down to a death sentence. Her sister was a nurse, and would check on it periodically.

When this student attended my cupping course, she told me about this and asked if I could help. When I took a look, I found a restriction in her lymphatic system that had backed up into the side of her breast, and I was able to get the restriction to lift and then do lymphatic drainage. By the time I was done, the nodule had absolved by almost 80% during that one treatment. We taught her how to manage it herself, and I got an email from her when she got home letting me know that the nodule was almost gone completely.

So the doctors were right about one thing: backed up lymph can one day turn into cancer. Thankfully, she can manage it on her own now and that risk has subsided greatly.
